The Next Big Web Thing Hall Of Internet Fame

As well as my sniping at things to do with the web and technology that irritate me, I'm more than happy to give credit where it's due. Now that the monthly competition has gone, and I'm not so much focusing on the hot new sites and services, I still want some where to capture the ones that have caught my imagination and interest. That's why I've started up The Next Big Web Thing Hall Of Internet Fame.

The Sites And Services We Love

I'll be keeping a running list of the things that interest me - it will be a bit less formal than the previous blog entries - but nothing gets in there for no reason - it has to be imaginative and innovative to my jaded eyes. Really special things will still get a feature on the blog with a bit more detail. If you're site ends up on this list, feel free to grab one of the old nominated badges - they're still applicable and a good way of showing that we appreciate what you're doing.

Fame And Shame?

It's also worth noting that sites and projects could also end up in the hall of shame - due to my quirky whims and personal grievances. If one of the sites piques my irritation by being both good and imaginative, but uses some of the tropes and hackneyed trendyness of the sites featured in the Hall Of Shame, then it will be listed in both. However, inclusion here means it has a lot more going for it than my personal peeves would suggest.
